Berbatov left out of United's Squad to Face Spurs

Well Dimitar Berbatov will be spared the boos of the Spurs supporters on Sunday as he's been left out the squad to face Spurs in the Carling Cup Final. He started for United against Inter on Tuesday, and Ferguson must be wanting to save him for their League match next week versus Newcastle.

But I wonder if he also left him out after the reception he received at the Lane in December. The boos and catcalls rained down throughout the whole match, and I wonder if Ferguson is trying to preserve some of Berbatov's confidence ahead of the big run-in to the season.

What does that mean for us Spurs supporters? Well, if we want to boo someone who left Tottenham, there's always Michael Carrick, though I don't know if he will start tomorrow. I don't think Carrick should be booed at this point, he was a good servant for the club, and yes I know he wanted to move, but his move didn't strike me the same way Berbatov's move did.

No other word on team news ahead of tomorrow's Final, it seems like Ferguson is going to start plenty of youngsters, so hopefully that is good news for us. On the Friday Football Show Tim Sherwood confirmed that we are going to be putting out our best eleven in hopes of retaining the Cup.
