Spurs News for Tuesday 3/10 & They'll Pry Lennon from Our Cold Dead Hands

It appears that Chris Gunter's options for a loan move have been narrowed after the Preston North End manager coming out and saying that the club aren't asking for Gunter on loan. I had thought that QPR was his most likely destination before, and think that the move will be secured before the end of the week.

Jermain Defoe is continuing to impress with his return from injury, he could be playing by the end of the month, instead of the end of April like was first predicted. Could he and Robbie Keane play together? They are similar players and Martin Jol and Juande Ramos didn't deploy them together, but maybe Harry will. If not, we will just have healthy competition for places, which is good for the club.

Aaron Lennon is reportedly the subject of another bid from Liverpool this summer. I do not see how the club can let him go, short of 20 million pounds, he's been our best attacking player throughout the season, and is really starting to come into his own, and is only 21 years old. He still has a long way to go before he reaches his full potential. Harry would be daft to let him go, and I think it's more about the papers churning a story.

It seems that almost every English club short of the Big Four are interested in Tom Huddlestone. Newcastle, Fulham, Everton and Aston Villa have all been mentioned as possible destinations for him this summer, if they all want him, what are we not seeing? I saw someone do an editorial about shifting Tom to center back last week, and that could be an option, he would certainly be a defender comfortable on the ball, but I think Tom would resist a move like that. He is still very young, like Lennon, is there anyway to get more out of him before we sell him on?

And finally, we're being linked with a move for Celtic winger Aiden McGeady this summer for around 7 million pounds. He's a young athletic player who is a fully-capped international, and would be a good fit down the left flank for the club. The only thing that worries me is that he has had several fights with his manager, Gordon Strachan, and has gotten into a fist fight with his keeper this year. But maybe Harry is looking for a fiery competitor to bring in, he has mentioned how he needs fighters before, but I didn't think he was meaning it literally.
